I was employed to set up Citizenship and PSHE in Key Stages 3 and 4 and developed the innovative Well-Being Faculty and integrated curriculum encompassing Citizenship, PSHE, RE and Careers/Work Related Learning and Business Links. I led a faculty team with department heads in each of these areas and had responsibility for line managing and supporting them. As well as the day-to-day tasks of curriculum development, teaching, assessment and leading the faculty, I also had overarching responsibility for the following;

 

Keeping up-to-date with current trends in each of the Well-Being areas

SRE and Drugs Education Policies

School Based Health Centre

Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning

Staff Well-Being

I developed a bespoke assessment system for Well-Being, as well as a Key Stage 5 course tailored to the specific needs of that age group.
