This page contains informal writings and reflections that range from commentary on current developments in educational policy, practice and ideology to observations on the development and expansion of Well-Being within my current school. I also use this space as a sort of 'how to' site - posting suggestions about the managing, running and organisation of a Well-Being faculty, curriculum, events and activities. Many of the topics discussed may already be familiar to many readers. However, my aim is to share my experiences in order to provide support to those already firmly entrenched on this path, as well as guidance to those new to the area of Well-Being.
I do not pretend to know it all. In fact, I sometimes despair that current developments in education are passing me by while I drown in the day-to-day necessities of teaching. I often feel that I am chasing the neverending stream of educational initiatives, rather than creating them, or at least have the time to consider them. With this in mind, these pages are an attempt to summarise some of the developments in 'Well-Being' and to share how I am dealing with them and creating my own space within them. Other sections of this website are designed to take away some of the burden of developing schemes-of-work, lesson plans and resources by providing them ready for you to use. Hopefully this will mean that we can all spend more time thinking about what we are doing and why we are doing it.
Hopefully it will mean that we can spend more time seeking ways to change the things that need to be changed.
